Together with the Landesanstalt für Medien NRW, advise conducted an exciting study and followed young people in an online diary study for a week.
How does Gen Z experience political content on TikTok and Instagram?
Here are a few exciting facts:
📱 Young people don't actively search for political content, they tend to come across it by chance on their For You pages
📱 Nevertheless, they feel well informed – a phenomenon known as “News-Finds-Me-Perception”
📱 Appealing content reinforces existing tendencies, but the decision to vote is not made by TikTok and Instagram
