|From October 14 to 18, 2020, our market research institute advise once again opened its doors – this time to three student interns: Selina, Semina and Valerie. They had already become aware of us during Girls' Day in April this year. Their desire to delve deeper into the world of market research led them to join our company for a week. During this time, the students had the opportunity to carry out their own practical market research project on the topic of “cold”.
An exciting project: from planning to evaluation
Under the guidance of team and project leaders, the students worked in a different department every day. They accompanied all the steps of a market research project, from creating the questionnaire to collecting data and finally evaluating it.
A small highlight was a trip to Ulm's Münsterplatz, where the interns conducted their survey directly with the people of Ulm. This allowed them to gain authentic insights into the reactions and opinions of the respondents: How often have the respondents had a cold this year? What medications have been and are mostly used?
The data collected was carefully evaluated during the week. At the end of the week, the students presented their results to the advise team. They independently explained their work and reflected on the past week. They then shared their experiences in a social media post that they designed themselves using a graphics tool – a great addition that taught them about the practical use of digital media for professional purposes.
An internship that inspires
The students' feedback at the end of their internship week at advise was consistently positive. With a radiant smile and a bouquet of flowers, Selina, Semina and Valerie thanked the team. The week at advise not only expanded their knowledge of market research, but also gave them valuable insights into career prospects.
For those who are interested: some results of the interns' survey can be found on our social media channels. It's worth taking a look at LinkedIn, Instagram or Facebook!
